ADI is pleased to announce that it will co-host a webinar with the World Health Organization (WHO) on Rehabilitation and dementia: global, national and personal perspectives, on 21 January 2025 at 13:00 pm GMT. Rehabilitation following a dementia diagnosis can be an effective approach to empower individuals to maintain independence for as long as possible. It also ensures that they remain central to decisions regarding their treatment and care. Together, ADI and WHO will explore rehabilitation through the personal, national and global lens, with representatives of the WHO sharing their package of interventions for rehabilitation for those living with dementia. This webinar will be hosted by: Chris Lynch, ADI Deputy CEO and Director of Policy & Communications and Dr Katrin Seeher, Mental Health Specialist, Department of Mental Health and Substance Use, World Health Organization Panellists will include: Dr Alexandra Rauch PT, MPH, PhD, WHO Rehabilitation Specialist, Department of Noncommunicable Diseases, Rehabilitation and Disability (NCD), World Health Organization Professor Yun-Hee Jeon BHSc(Nursing), MN, PhD, Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, The University of Sydney.
